By accessing or using JokeVault at jokevault.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JokeVault ("we," "us," or "our"). You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
JokeVault is a web-based application that allows users to write, store, organize, and manage stand-up comedy material. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be performed with as much advance notice as practical.
JokeVault offers subscription plans that provide access to premium features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
Payment processing is handled by a third-party provider. Your payment information is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
You retain full ownership of all jokes, sets, show logs, and other material you create and store in JokeVault ("Your Content"). We claim no intellectual property rights over Your Content.
By using the Service, you grant JokeVault a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use Your Content for any other purpose.
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have the rights to any content you upload, and that it does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
You can export or delete Your Content at any time using the tools provided in the app.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You may delete your account at any time via Account > Delete Account in the app. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation. In the event of termination by us without cause, we will provide a pro-rated refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.
We strongly recommend exporting your content regularly using the Export features in the app as a backup.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JokeVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
